Corporate Counsel, Privacy, Central Privacy Legal

The Corporate Counsel, Privacy, Central Privacy Legal will be responsible for advising on policies and practices for the collection, storage, and use of personal information across all of the company’s business lines in the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities:

- Advise on all aspects of global privacy laws and regulations
- Work closely with business leaders, legal teams, and public policy team
- Help shape the company’s long term strategy for handling customer information
- Consult with lawyers and business leaders to develop new products and services
- Work with public policy, public relations, and other teams to explain policies and practices to regulators and customers

About the team:

- Oversees, organizes, and drives all legal privacy initiatives across Amazon
- Serves as subject matter expert on all customer-related privacy issues

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Experience in both corporate law firm and in-house work preferred

Compensation:

- Base pay ranges from $123,100/year to $229,000/year depending on market location and job-related factors
- Total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation
