Summary: Amentum is currently seeking Paralegals to join their team in Washington, DC to support the US Attorney's Office in complex criminal matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in major litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree, as well as excellent writing and communication skills. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for growth and advancement within the company. Salary Information: - Not specified in the job description, but can be discussed during the interview process Job Title: - Paralegal Experience Information: - Three years of experience on major litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree Responsibilities: - Perform assignment specific duties - Support the case team and track data delivered to the case team - Performs database searches, exports reports, and other data retrieval assignments using established network databases - Performs litigation support tasks, including discovery productions and detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters - Supports investigative and trial teams by preparing documents for the legal team, uploading/organizing subpoena returns, preparing discovery and assisting in discovery productions, and sorting documents for trial binders - Drafts documents for accomplishing litigation support assignments - Proofreads and edits deliverable products, and enters data into case management systems - Prepares documents for scanning, performs other document collection related activities, including OCRing documents, redacting and labeling of files - Complete and submits forms, reports, correspondence, and other documents within established deadlines - Completes detailed indexing of case files, and creates witness binders - Creating logs for subpoena returns and discovery purposes - Serve as first level reviewers, following team lead guidance to redact specific language Requirements: - Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization; US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location - Three years of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree - Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in, for example, finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology - Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment - Excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities - Hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including data processing environments, office automation networks, PC-based databases, internet and server-based databases, and other applications such as Oracle, Relativity, or Trial Director - Knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems Equal Opportunity Employer: - Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides equal opportunity for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, gender, national origin, age, United States military veteran’s status, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, family structure, medical condition including genetic characteristics or information, veteran status, or mental or physical disability so long as the essential functions of the job can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation, or any other protected category under federal, state, or local law.
