Salary Information: - Denver Salary Range: $190,000-$250,000 - New York Salary Range: $180,000-$250,000 Note: Salary ranges are fluid and may vary depending on experience, areas of expertise, licenses, etc. Job Title: Intellectual Property Associate - Patent Location: Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Salt Lake City, UT; St. Louis, MO Experience: - Required Education: Juris Doctor - Preferred Education: Bachelors or higher in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science - Licenses and/or Certifications: Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the Firm conducts business; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements; Registered to practice before the USPTO - Required Experience: 1 year as a licensed attorney at a law firm - Preferred Experience: 2-8 years as a licensed attorney at a law firm - Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect - actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction Essential Functions: - Simultaneously handle high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression, from inception to conclusion - Possess strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients - Demonstrate an ability to work independently and productively and show a strong interest in advancing a career in Intellectual Property law - Produce quality legal work and bill the required amount of hours to ensure excellent client services - Manage and generate business through group and individual efforts - Comply with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession Competencies: - Decision Making - actively make decisions on client matters with little supervision - Communication - strong, professional communication, both written and orally, with internal and external clients - Leadership - actively delegate orders - Continuous Learning - actively embrace learning new skills and mastering new technology and share with others - Teamwork - work as a diligent member of client teams and begin to lead teams in matters - Alignment to Values - influence the awareness and adoption of the Firm's values on a larger scale; influence the awareness and adoption of diversity and inclusion; demonstrate respect by providing solutions and support Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
