Amazon is seeking a talented attorney with 5+ years of legal experience to join our team as Corporate Counsel for Vehicle Sales. This position requires a Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience as counsel in the automotive industry.

About the role:
The Corporate Counsel for Vehicle Sales will work closely with business development, product, and tech teams to launch a new shopping category on Amazon. Responsibilities include providing legal counseling on advertising, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance, as well as serving as counsel for product and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including technology and licensing agreements.

About the team:
This role is one of the first on a newly formed team with a vision to create innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon. The team is collaborating with experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for cars online.

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in both corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent

Compensation:
Our compensation is based on the cost of labor in various geographic markets across the US. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year to $229,000/year, depending on the geographic market. Other forms of compensation, such as equity and sign-on payments, may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
