This is a full-time, regular position with a competitive salary range of $200,000-$225,000. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with both domestic and international clients and professionals, providing global solutions for their data protection and privacy needs. As the PDP Director, you will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, developing new opportunities for the firm, managing project teams, and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of work product. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication skills, project management experience, and a deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver global data protection and privacy strategies to client C-suite/board • Build cross-cultural functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs • Manage BDO USA team members and collaborate with BDO Member Firms and offshore team members • Provide detailed information on domestic and global privacy laws to clients • Guide and advise team members on project budget and scheduling • Establish new relationships to drive opportunities for BDO • Comply with BDO’s Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other Frameworks • Manage and maintain relationships with client professionals and introduce other BDO professionals to expand on existing relationships • Ensure clients receive timely, thoughtful responses to inquiries and requests • Build relationships with other BDO professionals and participate in industry events • Update customer relationship management to ensure accurate pipeline reporting • Develop proposals and respond to RFPs/RFIs • Utilize knowledge of client needs to develop project and resource plans, establish reporting and metrics, and provide regular updates • Participate in business unit, legal, IT, privacy, and governance interviews and meetings • Proofread and edit executive reports prior to presenting to clients • Manage BDO client and partner expectations at all levels • Mentor team members to ensure consistent quality of work product and adherence to BDO standards • Manage multiple large, complex engagements and clients • Manage client expectations and deliver in-person presentations to senior executives • Support the Data Protection Officer for clients, as needed • Develop and manage project budgets and review invoices for consistency and timeliness • Act as a leader and maintain a professional, positive attitude with clients and firm personnel • Manage a team of professionals on a project or regional basis • Supervise the workload of senior managers, managers, senior associates, and associates Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s or advanced degree preferred • 10+ years of consulting experience required • 3+ years of data protection or privacy experience required • Experience working with Fortune 500 clients preferred • 5+ years of experience managing large, complex privacy projects required • One or more privacy certifications required (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE, or other) • Experience with privacy enabled technology solutions preferred • Strong knowledge of privacy and GRC software required • Multilingual capabilities preferred At BDO, we are committed to helping people thrive every day.
