Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Senior Attorney to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in civil litigation, exceptional research and writing skills, and a proven track record of success in managing case dockets and appearing in court.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with civil litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions.
  • Proficiency in managing a case docket.
  • Proven track record of appearing in court.
  • Experience handling multi-district litigation is a plus.
  • Trial experience is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
