# Transactional Attorney
Law Firm Shannon & Wright LLP is actively seeking a Transactional Attorney to join their Business, Real Estate, and Tax practices. This position can be based out of their Alexandria or Leesburg office and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that acknowledges experience and provides future growth opportunities.

## Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as asset purchase and sale, shareholder, operating, executive compensation, non-compete, stock purchase and recapitalizations, M&A transactions, and all types of real estate transactions
* Experience strategically advising clients and identifying and minimizing potential risks
* Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
* Professionalism with all team members
* Proficient technology skills utilizing Adobe and the Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel

Preferred, but not required qualifications include:

* Delaware, New York, DC, Maryland or Florida Bar Membership
* Clio and NetDocuments software experience

## Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include:

* Working closely and supporting Partners’ matters representing clients in a wide range of transactional needs
* Communicating and updating clients as needed throughout representation
* Meeting with new clients to assess their needs, identify their goals, and determine the best course forward in satisfying those needs
* Ensuring timely entry of time and billing details daily and in line with the firm best practices
* Working with the Firm Administrator and the Managing Partner to support the goals of the firm
* Ensuring all actions are consistent with best practices for attorneys including the ethical and professional standards of the Virginia State Bar and other applicable bars

All successful candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check.
