# Transactional Attorney Law Firm Shannon & Wright LLP is actively seeking a Transactional Attorney to join their Business, Real Estate, and Tax practices. This position can be based out of their Alexandria or Leesburg office and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that acknowledges experience and provides future growth opportunities. ## Qualifications Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: * * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as asset purchase and sale, shareholder, operating, executive compensation, non-compete, stock purchase and recapitalizations, M&A transactions, and all types of real estate transactions * Experience strategically advising clients and identifying and minimizing potential risks * Excellent writing, research, and communication skills * Professionalism with all team members * Proficient technology skills utilizing Adobe and the Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel Preferred, but not required qualifications include: * Delaware, New York, DC, Maryland or Florida Bar Membership * Clio and NetDocuments software experience ## Responsibilities The responsibilities of the position include: * Working closely and supporting Partners’ matters representing clients in a wide range of transactional needs * Communicating and updating clients as needed throughout representation * Meeting with new clients to assess their needs, identify their goals, and determine the best course forward in satisfying those needs * Ensuring timely entry of time and billing details daily and in line with the firm best practices * Working with the Firm Administrator and the Managing Partner to support the goals of the firm * Ensuring all actions are consistent with best practices for attorneys including the ethical and professional standards of the Virginia State Bar and other applicable bars ## Background Checks All successful candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check. ## Application To apply, please submit a resume and a cover letter to .
