Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
• Detailed knowledge of local, state, and federal laws applicable to employers
• Experience defending and litigating lawsuits in federal and state courts
• Ability to provide advice and counsel to public and private employers on labor and employment laws
• Proficiency in drafting legally-compliant policies, handbooks, contracts, and other employment-related documents
• Experience conducting internal investigations or audits and providing proactive risk management solutions
• Advising on compliance with occupational health and safety laws
• Devising lawful strategies and policies for employers who prefer to remain union-free
• Experience advising unionized employers, conducting bargaining negotiations, and defending union grievances and arbitrations

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Nebraska

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations
• Proactive problem-solving and risk-management abilities
