Law Firm is Seeking a Mechanical Patent Attorney or Agent Law Firm, a leading Washington, intellectual property law firm, is seeking a patent attorney or agent with no more than 2-4 years of experience preparing and prosecuting mechanical-related patent applications. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications: - - Excellent writing/analytic skills - Fluency in mechanical and design language, ., cross-sections, drawing views, materials science, dynamic movement, force/vector analysis, manufacturing, and relationships between components. - Prosecution experience related to medical devices and/or textiles - Foreign prosecution experience (a plus, but not required) Responsibilities of the Mechanical Patent Attorney or Agent: - Direct client exposure and hands-on interaction with products from clients and their competitors - Manage clients’ patent portfolios in the . and foreign countries - Focused, individual work - One-on-one training and collaboration with experienced, partner-level attorneys on a daily basis - Occasional travel, including overseas, for client visits Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive salary commensurate with experience - Full benefits package Application: Qualified candidates should forward their resume, as well as undergraduate and law school transcripts and two writing samples (., amendment/published patent application) in confidence.
