They are currently seeking a Tax Supervisor to join their Financial Services practice, specifically focusing on clients in the capital markets industry. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $75,600 to $154,100, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, at least 4 years of experience in business taxation, and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or a licensed JD. The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex partnership and corporate tax returns for clients in the capital markets industry, such as broker-dealers, investment banks, and fintech firms. They will also have the opportunity to work on multiple complex issues, communicate with clients, and develop and train team members. Key Responsibilities: - Review and analyze complex partnership and corporate tax returns for clients in the capital markets industry, including broker-dealers, investment banks, and fintech firms. - Communicate technical tax information in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between clients and the service team. - Interact directly with clients to handle questions, concerns, and planning. - Develop, motivate, and train team members at the staff level and interns. - Conduct research and provide conclusions on specific tax issues. - Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. - 4+ years of experience in business taxation, preferably in a Big 4 or large accounting firm. - Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or a licensed JD. - Prior experience working with clients in the capital markets industry. - Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance. - Ability to work closely with clients and manage risk for both the client and the firm. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or MBA. - Experience with ASC 740 and accounting for income taxes. - Strong technical skills and knowledge of tax law.
