The Department of Children and Families is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their Children’s Legal Services team in Fort Pierce, FL. This position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers a salary of . Position: Senior Attorney - Children’s Legal Services Location: Fort Pierce, FL Salary: Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent Position Summary: As a Senior Attorney with Children’s Legal Services, you will be responsible for advocating for the safety, well-being, and permanency of Florida’s abused, abandoned, and neglected children. You will work in collaboration with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare legal actions for each child, while also utilizing best practice litigation techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects and receive extensive training and support from a dedicated Statewide Training Team. Key Responsibilities: • Advocate for the safety, well-being, and permanency of Florida’s abused, abandoned, and neglected children • Ensure legal requirements are met to secure permanent and safe homes for dependent children • Collaborate with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare legal actions • Utilize best practice litigation techniques to ensure effective pleadings and trial presentations • Participate in special projects to create strategies for better outcomes for children • Receive extensive training and support from a dedicated Statewide Training Team Qualifications: • Law Degree • Admitted to the Florida Bar • Passion for advocating for the safety and well-being of children • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team • Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities Training and Benefits: As a Senior Attorney with Children’s Legal Services, you will receive extensive training and support to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
