Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Junior Energy Transactional Associate Attorney for its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Energy & Infrastructure transactions, with expertise in financing and/or private M&A transactions. Experience in project and energy financing, as well as energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions, is highly desirable. Tax equity and/or IRA credit experience is a plus.

Duties:

  • Assist senior attorneys in drafting and negotiating transactional documents related to energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory compliance issues, financing structures, and transactional matters.
  • Participate in due diligence investigations and review of project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure transactional objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide legal support and guidance on various energy and infrastructure-related matters as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Energy & Infrastructure transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in financing and/or private M&A transactions.
  • Preferred experience in project and energy financing and/or energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions.
  • Knowledge of tax equity and/or IRA credit is advantageous.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York, District of Columbia Bar, or Texas Bar, active and in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York, District of Columbia Bar, or Texas Bar, active and in good standing.
