## Staff Attorney - Legal Services Alabama, Inc. (LSA)

Legal Services Alabama, Inc. (LSA) is seeking an experienced and passionate Staff Attorney to join their team in Birmingham, Alabama. This position is an exciting opportunity for attorneys who are admitted to the Alabama Bar and who are passionate about serving low-income populations.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality free legal representation for cases in domestic violence, public benefits, elder law, tax assistance, consumer protection, education, and housing.
- Address the holistic needs of the client and will address social, non-medical determinants of health that prevent the patient’s ability to get well and return to social and economic stability.
- Provide information and resources to clients about the Family Medical Leave Act, job protections, and post-treatment benefit eligibility.

**Qualifications:**
- Must be admitted to the Alabama Bar
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Preference is given to bilingual attorneys

**Salary and Benefits:**
- Salary: $54,810 plus based upon experience
- Benefits: LSA offers an excellent benefits package, valued at approximately $19,000, including six weeks of paid leave annually and 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for each employee.
