In this role, you will join our National Tax Services Exempt Organizations team as a Senior Associate, working with a diverse range of tax-exempt organizations including colleges and universities, healthcare entities, foundations, and cultural and religious organizations. You will have the opportunity to assist these organizations in achieving measurable results by providing tax compliance and consulting services, identifying planning opportunities, and ensuring compliance with tax requirements. Some of the responsibilities and qualifications for this role include: • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with preferred fields of study in Accounting or Taxation, and at least 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. • Preferred qualifications include a Juris Doctorate degree, CPA, Enrolled Agent, or member of the Bar certification. • Knowledge of exempt organization tax issues, including not-for-profit healthcare, higher education, international clients, private foundations, public charities, and for-profit corporate, partnerships, and individual issues. • Experience with programming in SAS or an equivalent statistical software package, conducting statistical analyses, and providing statistical consulting services for tax-related economic, statistical, and modeling services. • Strong technical skills in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations, including experience with Forms 990, 990 PF, 1120, 1065, and 1040. • Ability to research business and industry trends and develop a point of view to assist with proposals and identify opportunities across multiple lines of service. • Familiarity with automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including the ability to innovate through new and existing technologies and work with large, complex data sets. • Experience with pricing, client value, and the negotiation process, including reviewing contracts and finding opportunities for new pricing options.
