The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of asset management regulatory experience and a background in advising clients on cross-border regulatory matters.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on asset management regulatory matters.
  • Advise clients on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act and other federal securities laws.
  • Assist clients in navigating cross-border regulatory issues related to asset management.
  • Review and analyze regulatory filings and disclosures.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements and contracts related to asset management activities.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop regulatory strategies.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and investigations as needed.
  • Stay abreast of developments in asset management regulation and advise clients accordingly.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of asset management regulatory experience.
  • Strong understanding of federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Advisers Act.
  • Previous experience at a large law firm, or a combination of law firm and in-house or regulatory agency experience.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and federal securities laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience advising clients with diverse product lines is a plus.
  • Experience advising on cross-border regulatory matters is a plus.
