- Strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in serving real estate owners and operators
- Solid understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules

Job Title: Tax Manager

Experience: 5+ years total corporate or international tax experience

Salary: $84,980 to $169,650 (wage range estimate)

Location: Central Region Office Locations

Recruiting Deadline: June 1, 2024

What You'll Do:

- Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector
- Work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, and have access to an elite group of specialists
- Use proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting/compliance engagements
- Advise clients on tax issues, including REIT Qualification, Tax Reform impact, business restructuring, and tax controversy
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state of the art technology and data analytics
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing leadership and career guidance

The Team:

- Global leaders in providing professional services to the Real Estate industry
- Work with a range of clients, including investment managers, private equity, Real Estate Investment Trusts, and other real estate owners and operators
- Business tax services include tax planning, compliance, controversy and risk management, and specialized services such as research and development and tax management consulting

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Licensed CPA/Attorney/Enrolled Agent or certified as a Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms
- Understanding of US tax and experience with US clients
- Strong communication, research, and management skills
