Team Introduction:
- Seeking a talented and experienced government relations professional
- Public Policy Manager, State will report to Head of State Public Policy (US)
- Responsible for leading TikTok's regional state policy efforts

Global Public Policy Team:
- Focus on government affairs, policy expertise, risk management, outreach, and philanthropy
- Mission to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats
- Promote a favorable environment for growth and innovation

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with state policymakers and political figures
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on public policy matters
- Advocate for policy positions that benefit TikTok's user community
- Monitor and analyze policy trends, legislative proposals, and issues
- Communicate policy positions through briefings and meetings
- Develop strategies for engaging with policymakers
- Prioritize state regulatory and legislative action

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Public Policy or Government with knowledge of the legislative process
- Advocacy experience and ability to understand business implications of policy
- Strong government relations skills and excellent writing abilities
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications:
- JD or advanced degree in relevant field
- Public Policy or Government experience in a multi-state region
