Key Responsibilities: Provide valuable insight and guidance to tax-exempt organizations on emerging tax issues and trends. Assist these organizations in implementing successful tax strategies in response to legislative, federal, and judicial developments. Work with a diverse range of clients, including colleges and universities, health care entities, foundations, supporting organizations, and cultural and religious organizations. Help charities achieve measurable results, such as obtaining and preserving tax-exempt status and structuring revenue generating activities. Advise on executive compensation, employee benefits planning, and compliance with income, excise, and employment tax requirements. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation. 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. Must meet all requirements for CPA or Bar licensure per respective state regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Juris Doctorate preferred. Experience with SAS or equivalent statistical software. Knowledge of a variety of tax forms, including 990, 990 PF, 1120, 1065, and 1040. Strong technical skills in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. Ability to research business and industry trends and develop a point of view to assist with proposals. Experience with automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
