A law firm in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Banking Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of substantive experience in commercial lending transactions, construction and development financing, and related financing mechanisms. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and drafting skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate loan documentation for commercial lending transactions.
• Review title and survey documents to ensure compliance with financing requirements.
• Thoroughly examine due diligence materials to identify any potential legal issues.
• Provide legal counsel on construction and development financing projects.
• Offer expertise in revolving lines of credit and alternative financing mechanisms.
• Explore opportunities in low-income housing tax credit financing and tax-exempt bonds (a plus).
• Work collaboratively with the legal team to address client needs and deliver top-notch legal services.
• Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation for client files.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission within a reasonable timeframe.
• 2-3 years of practical experience in commercial lending transactions.
• Strong familiarity with construction and development financing.
• Knowledge of revolving lines of credit and alternative financing mechanisms.
• Exposure to low-income housing tax credit financing and tax-exempt bonds is advantageous.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission within a reasonable timeframe.
