## Insurance Tax Manager

**Job Summary:**

As an Insurance Tax Manager, you will provide clients with advice on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You will help organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. You will also help our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.

- Provide advice on tax implications of deals.
- Help Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.
- Innovate through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Work with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients.
- Utilize digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.
- Offer alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies.

**Job Requirements and Preferences:**

- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- 4 years of experience
- CPA or Member of the Bar
- Master Degree Preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the tax issues affecting either the domestic and/or international insurance industries.
- Thorough knowledge of public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments or internal foreign insurance departments.
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance.
- Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
- Demonstrates success as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Preferred familiarity with a CRM system.
- Demonstrates knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment.

**Salary:**

For positions in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New York State, or Washington State, or for opportunities that will report to a supervisor, office or other work site in New York State, the pay range for the position of Insurance Tax Manager is $127,653 - $201,717.
