Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage outside counsel for patent prosecution, oppositions, and IP litigation. - Advise on intellectual property issues in corporate transactions. - Draft, negotiate, and review license, technology, and related commercial transaction agreements. - Provide analysis and counsel on intellectual property issues, including freedom to operate (FTO) analyses. - Monitor and analyze changes to intellectual property laws and regulations. - Advise senior management on changes to intellectual property laws and regulations. Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or Masters of Science in a life sciences field and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. - Current license in State Bar and registration as a licensed Patent Attorney. - Minimum 6 years of related experience in life science patent law. - Significant experience in IP diligence for technology licensing and M&A. - Strong interpersonal skills and effective collaboration. - Ability to multi-task and communicate legal and compliance issues clearly.
