seeks a corporate, transactional & securities associate with four to seven years of relevant experience to work in its Sorrento Valley (North San Diego County) office. This is a great opportunity to work with a small and dynamic group of deal attorneys who are regularly engaged in sophisticated regional and national mergers and acquisitions; corporate restructuring; start-up financings; government contracting transactions; health care transactions; tech and manufacturing transactions; and general corporate counseling. The firm offers sophisticated work similar to large law with lower billable requirements of 1650. Preferred candidates will have at least 4 years of corporate experience at a national or regional law firm and lead associate roles in corporate and transactional matters. In addition, the preferred candidate must have strong drafting skills, a "can do" attitude and be able to manage junior associates as well as be a team player. The associate must be comfortable interacting with clients, outside advisors and the partners and other attorneys/paralegal within FELLP Law. Managing client expectations, attention to detail, significant drafting experience and the ability to "take ownership" of projects is essential and is expected at this position.
