## Assistant County Attorney – Criminal Division The Potter County Attorney's Office is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Assistant County Attorney in the Criminal Division. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented attorney to join a team of experienced prosecutors and make a real difference in the community. The successful candidate will be expected to handle all aspects of criminal prosecution, including daily interaction with court personnel, defense counsel, law enforcement officers, community supervision and corrections personnel, and members of the public. They will also be expected to use electronic legal research such as Westlaw and be comfortable with learning our case management system, which is Techshare. The position offers a starting salary of $80, and benefits including access to a quality health insurance plan and enrollment in a defined benefit retirement plan through the Texas County and District Retirement System. Annual leave for new hires includes 13 holidays and 10 vacation days, and sick leave accumulates at one day per month. After one year of service a portion of unused sick leave (up to 4 days per year) can be converted to additional vacation leave. State Bar dues, CLE classes, and memberships in the Texas District and County Attorneys Association and the Amarillo Area Bar Association will be paid by the County Attorney's Office. ### Qualifications Candidates must have a . or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in Texas.
