Summary: Tokio Marine HCC is looking for a Claims Attorney with experience in Cyber insurance to join their growing Cyber Claims Team. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based in Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, Encino, CA, Mount Kisco, NY, or can be remote for the selected candidate. The Claims Attorney will be responsible for managing first and third-party claims, including class action litigation, arising under various specialty Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, and other professional liability policies. They will also be responsible for interpreting coverage, collaborating with outside counsel, and developing strategies for resolution of claims. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (.) degree and be licensed to practice law in the applicable state jurisdiction(s) and have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant legal experience or 2+ years of relevant claims handling experience. The salary range for this position is $95,760 - $131,670 annually for New York, NY and Encino, CA and $104,480 - $143,660 annually for Mount Kisco, NY. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of the litigation process for claims to minimize company risk of loss. - Analyze coverage issues, conduct investigations, and evaluate to determine validity of complex claims. - Prepare and draft legal correspondence to affected parties. - Maintain claim files and update as needed. - Communicate with agents, principals, claimants, and other attorneys. - Attend court hearings and mediations. - Assign designated claims to outside counsel. - Negotiate claim settlement. - Provide guidance to less experienced Claims personnel. - Travel up to 10%. Education and Experience: - Juris Doctor (.) degree. - Licensure to practice law in the applicable state jurisdiction(s). - Adjuster license. - Minimum 2-5 years of relevant legal experience or 2+ years of relevant claims handling experience. - Cyber Claims Handling experience. Technical Skills: - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Key Competencies: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Advanced organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. - Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. - Professionalism in varied business settings.
