Jacksonville office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a community association attorney preferably with 5 years of experience working with HOAs. The candidate will help community association clients on a wide range of legal issues, including governing document amendments, covenant, and restriction violations. Assist in running meetings and advising clients on meeting procedures, addressing the board and annual meeting controversies, and resolving neighborhood disputes. Be fully apprised of changes to community association laws and industry trends in order to proactively keep the clients informed through educational efforts and industry-wide training initiatives. Advise on covenant or rules violations and enforcement. Serve and advise on corporate/board of directors' powers, functions, training, and formal opinions. Prepare, interpret, and amend declarations, covenants, conditions, restrictions, bylaws, articles of incorporation, rules and regulations, election rules, and architectural standards. Serve as a Board of Directors or committee meeting guidance and attendance. Advise on lender foreclosure or landlord-tenant defense. Counsel on construction management and defect litigation. Advise real estate boundary or title disputes. Review loan documents and structure commercial lines of credit and/or arrange sources of financing for community operations and/or capital improvements. Effectively communicate with courts, counsel, and clients, and actively engage in all aspects of a thriving community association practice. Participate in conferences and other activities associated with running a successful line of business within the firm. Demonstrate expertise in persuasion and negotiation, including the ability to speak to audiences and advocate for clients. Must be licensed to practice as an attorney in the State of Florida.
