A law firm in New York City is seeking a talented Debt and Leveraged Finance Counsel or Senior Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will work on various debt and finance transactions, with a focus on representing borrowers.

 

Job Overview:

  • Engage in a wide variety of debt and finance transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loan facilities, working capital facilities, subordinated loans, equipment leasing facilities, and acquisition financings.
  • Strong experience representing borrowers in diverse debt transactions.
  • Positive consideration given for experience with out-of-court insolvency or restructuring transactions.
  • Must possess superior academic credentials, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with, or affinity for, technology and/or life sciences companies is beneficial.

 

Duties:

  • Represent borrowers in syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loan facilities, and other debt transactions.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements for various financing arrangements.
  • Provide legal advice and support on financial transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with out-of-court insolvency or restructuring transactions as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from a reputable law school.
  • Admission to the Bar.
  • 5-8 years of leveraged/banking finance experience with a focus on borrower representation.
  • Strong understanding of debt and finance transactions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
