Job Title: Government Law Associate

Position: Mid-Level Associate to begin immediately

Salary: $195,000 – $260,000 (based on experience)

Department: Government Law

Location: Irvine, California; remote optional

Job Summary:

Rutan & Tucker, LLP, one of California’s largest full-service law firms, is seeking a Government Law Associate to join our expanding government practice. The successful candidate will work with a highly experienced team of attorneys representing diverse public and private clients. Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive advice and creative solutions to clients in the government and municipal sector
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates for guidance and mentoring
- Thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere

Qualifications:

- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California
- 3-5 years of experience in municipal law and government agency litigation
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Creative problem-solver and team player
- Excellent organizational and logistical skills, especially with remote working conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in local government, legislative drafting, real estate, and other public agency-related matters
- Ability to communicate directly with clients such as public officials, departmental personnel, and members of the public
- Strong oral communication and advocacy skills
