The Immigration Attorney will represent clients at various stages of immigration proceedings, including removal proceedings, visa petitions, family-based petitions, asylum petitions, and more. Fluency in Spanish or Chinese is strongly preferred, along with strong legal supervision skills and the ability to handle a high case volume.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various immigration matters, including removal proceedings, visa petitions, family-based petitions, asylum petitions, and work permits.
  • Handle master and individual appearances before USCIS, ICE, and EOIR.
  • Provide legal supervision and oversight on a high case volume, ensuring accuracy and compliance with immigration laws.
  • Organize and facilitate immigration workshops and information sessions for clients and the community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to effectively manage caseload and meet deadlines.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of immigration experience handling matters before USCIS, ICE, and EOIR.
  • Admission to the Iowa or Minnesota Bar.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Chinese strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal supervision skills and sound legal judgment.
  • Ability to handle a high case volume and work under time pressure.
  • Experience organizing and facilitating immigration workshops is desirable.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Iowa or Minnesota Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Fluency in Spanish or Chinese strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal supervision skills and superb legal judgment.
  • Ability to handle a high case volume and work under time pressure.
  • Experience organizing and facilitating immigration workshops.
