Summary:

The ACLU of Illinois is seeking a Senior Supervising Attorney to engage in litigation and non-litigation advocacy to promote transformational change in various civil rights and civil liberties issues. The Senior Supervising Attorney will work closely with colleagues across the organization and lead cases in state and federal court. Responsibilities:
• Lead and litigate cases in state and federal court
• Collaborate with colleagues in Advocacy, Communications, and Philanthropy & Engagement Departments
• Investigate, develop, and advance non-litigation strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with cooperating counsel, allied organizations, community-based organizations, and stakeholders
• Serve as a spokesperson for the ACLU-IL
• Supervise and mentor early-career and mid-career attorneys and Legal Department support staff
