A law firm is seeking a Labor Law Attorney for their Minneapolis office. The Labor Law Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of labor law matters including NLRB proceedings, union elections, representation hearings, arbitrations, grievances, positive employee relations, and collective bargaining negotiations. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing and oral advocacy skills, along with a strong academic background. Active law license in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility to become admitted to the applicable Bar is required.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in NLRB proceedings and union elections.
  • Conduct representation hearings and arbitrations.
  • Handle grievances and advise clients on positive employee relations.
  • Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and related contract drafting.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on labor law compliance issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor law matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and administrative agencies.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of traditional labor law experience, preferably on the management side or experience at the NLRB.
  • Strong understanding of labor law principles and regulations.
  • Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Active law license in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to become admitted to the applicable Bar.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the applicable jurisdiction.
