The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and client service skills, along with experience in various corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital financing, and capital markets. The Corporate Associate Attorney (Private Equity and Finance) will be responsible for handling a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, private placements, venture capital financing, and strategic joint ventures. This role requires excellent technical skills, client service abilities, and a team-oriented approach to collaboration.

 

Duties:

  • Handle various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, private placements, venture capital financing, and strategic joint ventures
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on corporate governance matters
  • Draft and review transactional documents, including agreements, contracts, and disclosures
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for corporate transactions
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and other stakeholders to develop transaction strategies
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to corporate law and finance
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide responsive client service

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of demonstrated corporate transactional experience
  • Experience in private equity and finance is preferred
  • Member of the New Jersey Bar in good standing

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Skills:

  • Strong technical expertise in corporate law and finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Client service-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
