Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a mid-level Commercial and Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join their team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience and a demonstrated interest in complex litigation, with a focus on soft IP, unfair competition, or consumer class actions. Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills are required, and law firm experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Managing cases and overseeing all aspects of litigation process
• Drafting and researching pleadings and contested motions, such as motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, preliminary injunctions, and class certification briefings
• Taking depositions and conducting witness interviews
• Propounding written discovery and responses
• Arguing motions in court

Requirements:
• Minimum of four years’ experience as a litigation associate
• Demonstrated interest or experience in complex litigation, specifically in soft IP, unfair competition, or consumer class actions
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills
• Law firm experience preferred
• Clerkship and court experience a plus

Salary and Benefits:
• Annualized salary range in California is $205,000 to $330,000
• Actual pay will be based on education, training, experience, and other job-related factors
• Full-time employees may be eligible for a bonus and health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year, and an employee assistance program
• Initial sick leave benefit of 80 hours per year for full-time employees
