Your Role: As a Senior Attorney for CareScout Services, you will provide legal advice, counsel, and subject-matter expertise to our care services business. This includes representing the business on existing and new product design and implementation, reviewing advertising and training materials, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. You will also collaborate with various teams within the organization, such as marketing, sales, and compliance, to develop and implement strategies that align with regulatory requirements and the organization's policies. What You Will Be Doing: New Initiatives support Marketing Support Sales Support Technology/Web Disclosure Regulatory Compliance Risk Management What You Bring: Required: JD degree from an accredited school, admission to the bar of at least one state 10+ years’ experience as legal counsel in insurance and/or related corporate matters Ability to collaboratively develop strategies with the business while providing guidance on legal aspects of those strategies Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders Excellent organizational and negotiation skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communicator and vigorous analytical and decision-making skills Proven ability to assess legal business risks proactively, efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Self-starter with strong work ethic Preferred: Prior experience interacting with a state or federal regulator Prior product experience, preferably with a focus on some or all of the following: long-term care insurance, long-term care services, long-term care or medical provider networks Knowledge Healthcare Regulation, HIPAA, GLB and ERISA, and Medicare and/or Medicaid regulations Employee Benefits & Well-Being: At Genworth, we believe in making a difference in our employees’ lives.
