A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Jacksonville, FL, office. The successful candidate will possess 1-10 years of relevant experience and must be licensed in Florida.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will work closely with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation, from rapid response investigations following catastrophic losses, case evaluation and reporting, discovery, and depositions through trial presentation. Emphasis will be placed on strategic thinking to meet client objectives.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with lead attorneys to develop litigation strategies and execute case plans.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with all aspects of trial preparation and presentation.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  • 1-10 years of relevant litigation experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
