A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a dedicated Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves performing legal research, drafting legal memos and pleadings, attending court hearings, handling discovery-related activities, drafting position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a passion for employment law, litigation experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with sophisticated business clients.

 

Duties:

  • Perform legal research on employment-law-related matters.
  • Draft legal memos and pleadings.
  • Attend court hearings and handle discovery-related activities.
  • Conduct investigations related to employment litigation.
  • Draft position statements and dispositive motions.
  • Counsel clients on employment-law-related matters.
  • Maintain extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in employment litigation, other litigation, or a judicial clerkship is strongly preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Minnesota.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Minnesota.
