A law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic credentials, superior writing and analytical capabilities, and experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing. They will play a significant role in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis in complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in case strategy development and client meetings.
  • Assist in all phases of discovery, including Electronic Discovery.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Provide high-quality legal representation to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • Distinguished academic credentials.
  • Superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license required.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
