Department Overview:
- Children's Legal Services attorneys advocate for the safety, well-being, and permanency of Florida's abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
- With a team of over 300 attorneys, CLS is a leader in courtroom advocacy for children.
- CLS attorneys have primary responsibility for multiple cases and must ensure legal requirements are met to secure permanent and safe homes for dependent children.
- Collaborates with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare for trial.
- Advocates for children using best practice litigation techniques.

Qualifications:
- Law degree required
- Training provided through multi-week onboarding program, quarterly intensive training, and annual advanced litigation academy.
- Fulfillment of all CLE requirements through webinars and live trainings.

Compensation:
- Annual base salary of $55,000 for full-time permanent appointment.
- Total compensation inclusive of benefits valued at a minimum of $77,947.
