Managing Attorney - CEI Environmental Justice:
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the Community Equity Initiative (CEI) program, which addresses environmental justice issues in disadvantaged communities in California.
- Will work with the Legal Program Director and staff to develop and implement creative advocacy strategies to address community-identified environmental justice issues.
- Supervision of staff and advocacy, including ensuring compliance with policies and ethical obligations, conducting case review meetings, and developing professional development plans for staff.
- Take on statewide impact advocacy, assist in developing community leadership, and coordinate advocacy with partners and agencies.
- Develop specialized knowledge in a CEI priority area and participate in training and staff meetings.
- Must have a demonstrated commitment to working with low-income clients and environmental justice, as well as some experience with litigation and policy advocacy.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with issues related to the environment, local governance, land use, planning, leadership development, or civil rights, as well as experience working with low-income families and communities and in a non-profit legal services environment.
- This position is full-time and located in either the Fresno or Tulare office.

- Must be fully vaccinated (CDC-approved COVID vaccination and booster shot) to be eligible for the position.
- Salary range is $95,000 to $118,000 per annum, with a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401K retirement plan, and paid leave policy.
