Tax Manager, Investment Management, Private Wealth (Central Region Office Locations)

- Role in a growing Private Wealth practice at Deloitte

Position Summary

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and prepare and lead client meetings
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Take on lead client-contact roles, billing and profitability analysis, and marketplace eminence building and pursuits

The Team

- Focus on specialized needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners
- Provide comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice
- Help clients make more informed, strategic decisions

Qualifications

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years of public accounting experience (3+ years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior Big 4 experience
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills

Salary Information

- Wide range of factors considered in compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs
- Range estimate not adjusted for geographic differential
- Reasonable estimate of current range: $84,980 to $169,650
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules and factors such as individual and organizational performance
