**Position Overview**

Kaufman & Canoles is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Corporate Healthcare Attorney to join our Raleigh office. The successful candidate will have 5 or more years of experience representing clients in the healthcare industry, handling corporate healthcare transactions and regulatory matters, demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

**Responsibilities**

- Advise health care clients (such as health care systems, hospitals, long term care facilities, surgery centers, medical practices, physicians, and other providers and vendors in the health care space) on business, transactional and/or federal and state regulatory issues (including, without limitation, fraud and abuse, licensing, privacy and security, corporate practice of medicine, and other health care regulatory issues)
- Provide legal analysis and advice concerning health care regulatory compliance, physician-hospital relationships, and a wide variety of healthcare business and operational issues, including patient care matters to clients
- Experience in general transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation, conducting due diligence, as well as reviewing, drafting and negotiating transactional documents

**Required Skills**

- Minimum five years job experience as a commercial healthcare attorney with transactional experience
- Skilled at meeting deadlines under significant time pressure
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently

**Education**

- Admission to the North Carolina Bar in good standing or the ability to waive in
