Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Associate Attorney (Business and Corporate Law) will be responsible for providing legal services to the firm's clients under the guidance of experienced attorneys. This includes learning, understanding, and retaining facts and issues, drafting legal documents, and applying statutory law to relevant facts. The ideal candidate should be licensed to practice law in New Mexico, have excellent legal writing, research, and oral communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Tax or Business experience is preferred, but not necessary.

H2: Responsibilities

Learn and understand facts and issues related to assigned cases.
Pay close attention to detail and anticipate important tasks.
Review and draft a variety of legal documents and schedules.
Analyze and apply statutory law to relevant facts.
Work with several attorneys on complex legal matters.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Use initiative and good judgement in working independently and as part of a team.
Learn from mentors and implement their feedback.

Must be licensed to practice law in New Mexico.
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
Ability to work with others, including staff and attorneys.
