In this role, you will be responsible for providing tax services to a variety of tax-exempt organizations, including colleges and universities, health care entities, foundations, supporting organizations, and other cultural and religious organizations. You will assist these organizations in achieving measurable results, providing guidance on obtaining and preserving tax-exempt status, identifying planning opportunities resulting from legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments, and ensuring compliance with income, excise, and employment tax requirements. Salary Information: Salary for this role will vary based on qualifications and experience, but typically ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 per year. Job Title: National Tax Services Exempt Organizations - Senior Associate Experience Information: Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for tax-exempt organizations. Experience with not-for-profit healthcare, higher education, international clients, private foundations, public charities, for-profit corporate, partnerships, and individual tax issues preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tax services to a variety of tax-exempt organizations, including colleges and universities, health care entities, foundations, supporting organizations, and other cultural and religious organizations. - Assist these organizations in achieving measurable results, providing guidance on obtaining and preserving tax-exempt status, identifying planning opportunities resulting from legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments, and ensuring compliance with income, excise, and employment tax requirements. - Conduct statistical analyses and provide statistical consulting services related to tax issues. - Use programming skills in SAS or an equivalent software package to conduct tax-related economic and modeling services. - Stay informed of industry and business trends to develop a point of view to leverage in assisting with proposals. - Utilize technology and data visualization tools to innovate and improve processes. - Review contracts and negotiate pricing options with clients. - Uphold PwC's code of ethics and business conduct. - Collaborate with a team of problem solvers to solve complex business issues. - Use critical thinking to bring order to unstructured problems. - Seek out opportunities to gain exposure to different situations, environments, and perspectives. - Communicate effectively and build quality relationships. - Embrace opportunities for self-development and personal growth. - Comply with all state regulations for CPA or Bar licensure. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. - Juris Doctorate preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for tax-exempt organizations. - Knowledge of Exempt Organization tax issues, tax compliance and consulting, and a variety of tax forms (990, 990 PF, 1120, 1065, and 1040). - Certification as a CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar preferred. - Strong technical skills and understanding of not-for-profit organizations. - Experience with SAS or other statistical software preferred. - Familiarity with automation and digitization in a professional services environment. - Ability to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships. - Strong communication and critical thinking skills. - Uphold PwC's code of ethics and business conduct.
