Cyber Privacy and Data Protection Manager - Join Grant Thornton's Team in Chicago, IL

Grant Thornton is seeking a Cyber Privacy and Data Protection Manager to join our Privacy and Data Protection team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our clients' business needs and help them transform and mature their privacy program. With a focus on assessment, automation, process re-engineering, and managed services, you will work with a variety of domains including privacy strategy, governance, risk, and compliance management.

As a Manager within our Privacy & Data Protection practice, you will have the resources, environment, and support to excel and grow. You will be empowered by our greater Risk and Cyber teams to help clients achieve their vision and achieve more confidently.

Daily Responsibilities:

- Adhere to professional standards and strict client confidentiality
- Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-based team environment
- Apply current knowledge of privacy and data protection trends to identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead execution of client engagements from start to finish, including planning, directing, and completing assessments, program implementations, and managed services on-time and on-budget
- Work with clients to plan engagement strategy, define objectives, and address privacy-related risks and issues
- Proactively communicate with key client management, gather information, and make recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with team members at all levels to develop and market privacy and data protection solutions
- Support business development activities, including client prospecting, proposal development, professional networking, thought leadership, and brand building
- Additional duties as assigned

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Juris Doctorate, or related field required, Master's preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
- One or more of the following certifications required: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, or other related certifications
- Deep understanding of global privacy and data protection regulations and frameworks, such as the GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, NIST, ISO, and more
- Experience with leading privacy regulations to perform assessments and support program implementations
- Experience with privacy tools such as OneTrust, , WireWheel, and BigID, across various use cases
- Experience preparing reports and other deliverables, and effectively communicating results to team and clients
- Project management experience and strong verbal communication skills to discuss privacy and data protection issues with all levels of client staff
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain outstanding relationships
- Willingness to travel as needed

Salary Information:

The base salary range for this position is between $155,500 and $233,300 in select locations such as Los Angeles, CA, Bellevue, WA, and New York, NY.
