Senior Corporate Counsel - Privacy and Healthcare Regulatory

The Aspen Group (TAG) is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team and provide legal support in the areas of privacy compliance and healthcare regulation. As a key member of our legal team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and provide practical solutions to complex issues in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $150,000-$175,000 and bonus potential.

Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate privacy agreements and data protection aspects of other enterprise agreements
- Proactively identify areas for improvement related to privacy and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes
- Serve as a subject matter expert on federal and state healthcare regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse counseling, HIPAA, and False Claims Act
- Work closely with other attorneys and senior management to protect the legal interests of the organization
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and commercial contracts
- Ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements
- Stay current on relevant legislative and regulatory developments and communicate updates to senior management

Requirements:

- Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in one or more jurisdictions within the United States
- 4-6 years of experience in complex privacy and healthcare regulatory matters
- In-depth knowledge of worldwide data protection regulations and working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
- Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA
- Experience working with billing and coding and revenue cycle management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to think like an operator and integrate legal and business solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks
