Summary: The Intellectual Property Counsel at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a division of Danaher Corporation, is responsible for supporting the Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay business. This position is fully remote and reports to the Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property. The job requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific or technical discipline, a JD degree from an accredited law school, and 4+ years of legal experience in Intellectual Property. The salary range for this role is $150,000-170,000 USD and the job is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Job Title: Intellectual Property Counsel Company: Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a division of Danaher Corporation Location: Remote Salary Range: $150,000-170,000 USD Job Type: Full-time Experience and Education Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific or technical discipline - JD degree from an accredited law school - 4+ years of legal experience in Intellectual Property - Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and an active member of at least one state bar - Experience with contract drafting and negotiation, with an emphasis on intellectual property rights Responsibilities: - Advise, counsel, and participate in development of strategic, global IP portfolio - Negotiate, draft, and review agreements such as licenses, research agreements, collaboration agreements, confidentiality agreements and material transfer agreements - Drive invention disclosure processes with R&D and participate in IP review meetings - Draft claims and direct outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications - Collaborate with Beckman Coulter’s global intellectual property team Additional Experience (not required but preferred): - In-house legal experience with R&D focus - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry Benefits: - Paid time off - Medical/dental/vision insurance - 401(k) plan At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce.
