Responsibilities:

- Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
- Be a trusted tax business advisor, focusing on day-to-day tax matters and consulting on technical matters and special projects
- Research tax matters and respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing and ensure profitability targets are met
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally
- Invest in professional development through firm-wide learning programs
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy
- Enjoy work-life balance with friendships, social activities, and team outings

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or similar degree in business; Masters or advanced degree desirable
- CPA or JD required
- 5+ years' experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm
- 2+ years' supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, and exhibit ethical knowledge and commitment
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the . without sponsorship preferred
