The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing files through trial in various insurance defense areas, including auto accidents, general personal injury, premises liability, and construction litigation.

 

Duties:

  • Manage files independently from inception to trial in insurance defense cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and case law relevant to practice areas.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Ohio.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Strong trial experience and ability to handle cases independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
