Real Estate Asset Manager, Leasing - Memphis, Tennessee - Store Development Job Title: Real Estate Asset Manager Job Location: Memphis, Tennessee Department: Store Development Salary: $240,000/year POSITION SUMMARY The Real Estate Asset Manager is responsible for monitoring the company's extensive portfolio of real estate leases, negotiating with landlords and their representatives, and drafting legal documents to ensure the company's best interests are met. This role requires a successful track record in independently drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases and other related documents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Negotiate with landlords to achieve desired modifications to real estate leases - Draft legal documents for review and approval - Maintain and update a database of leases - Provide updates on lease status and negotiations to various in-house parties - Record and return legal documents to county clerks/recorders - Perform quality control checks of all completed transactions EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate portfolio management and/or real estate lease transactions - preferred - Extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases and related legal documents - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat - Ability to manage multiple projects and take initiative - Occasional travel required (less than 5%) FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES - Effective communication skills, both oral and written - In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles - Ability to follow through with decisions and interpret procedures and company policies - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision As the Real Estate Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's real estate leases are in line with market rates and deadlines are met.
