JOB SUMMARY:

The Nationwide Trial Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Trial Attorney to join their team in Pennsylvania. This position offers the opportunity to work with a Fortune 100 company and provide top-quality legal services to protect their customers and business. The successful candidate will have prior insurance defense experience and be able to handle cases from start to finish, including trial. This is a full-time position with no billing requirement and all necessary equipment provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Independently handle cases from start to finish, including trial, with minimal managerial oversight.
• Utilize technology and work collaboratively with support staff to effectively manage cases.
• Maintain knowledge of changes in the law, technology, and other aspects of the legal and insurance industries.
• Provide accurate and timely case valuations and communicate with clients and claims customers.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with key associates and colleagues within the legal and insurance industries.
• Serve as a mentor for junior attorneys and staff, providing guidance and training.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• .
• Active license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly collaborative and able to work with staff and other attorneys.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in basic software and adaptable to changes in technology and the law.
• Leadership skills and ability to prioritize and coordinate complex projects.
• Adherence to ethical rules and company policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal office environment, with the possibility of working from home.
• Frequent travel, including occasional overnight travel.
• Extended hours may be necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
