Job Overview: A law firm in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will handle a docket of personal injury cases, manage staff, and represent clients in court proceedings.

Duties:

• Filing petitions and pleadings by court procedures
• Engaging in discovery processes, including interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions
• Handling depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in cases
• Attending court hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients
• Managing a dedicated staff to ensure efficient case management
• Overseeing a docket of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle collisions and premise liability matters

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas
• Experience in litigation, preferably in personal injury law
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Texas

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
